If you are like me, you probably have a ton of digital photos from trips, events, and random other things.



There are many sites where you can upload your photos and start making money. These sites sell stock photos and are always looking for more to add to their database. Usually businesses and other professionals search these sites looking for images they can use on their web pages, reports, or other documents.



Here are a few: (I got this list from Site Point by J. Catone )

BigStockPhoto - 50 cents to $3.00/image . I recently signed up and have 22 pictures on their site. Someone bought the first one a few weeks ago. I got 50cents for the one photo and more people could end up downloading it as well. I don't think there is a limit to how many times it can be downloaded or sold.

iStockPhoto - 20-40% for photos from $1 to $20 (for photos) - more if you offer them an exclusive on your work. Also sells videos, illustrations, flash, and audio. 3.5 million + photos.

Dreamstime - $ .35 to $8.40/image - more for exclusives.

Shutterstock - 25 cents per downloaded image. Refer friends and earn 3 cents/image sold by photographers you refered. Illustrations and video too.

StockXpert - 50% for $1 to $10/image photos.

123 Royalty Free - 50% and 36 cents/imaged downloaded. Refer friends and get 10% per photo sold for referred photographers.

CanStockPhoto - 50% and 25 cents/image download.

Fotolia - 33% and 64% of $1 - $3/image.

Shutterpoint - 70% or 85% . See what types of images are selling best. What’s Selling

Photo Stock Plus - 85% but takes a 3.25% processing fee. You set your own pricing.

CreStock - 30% for $5 to $15/image. See the best images and the worst images to get an idea of what types of photos they are looking for.

SnapVillage - 30% for $1 to $50/image.

Nature Photo Index - Not just nature photos and you get 99% back.

Scoopt - For selling images to the media. 40%

Citizenside - News/media images. Get up to 75%

Yuwie - shares ad revenue with users

At Yuwie you can upload/download pictures, videos, blogs, feeds, have friend networks, … pretty much anything you do at Facebook, MySpace, etc.

So, why join Yuwie? It’s a free way to do all these things and make money at the same time. Yuwie shares the ad revenue with the users. You get paid by the page view. Page views count anytime you or someone else views any of the items you have posted or interacts with you. This includes your profile pages.

Although you make 50 cents per thousand page views, it adds up quickly. Here is what counts as a page view:

When any logged in member views any of these pages, it counts as 1 page view for you:

1. your profile page
2. your blog pages
3. view all your friends
4. view all your comments
5. your picture pages
6. if someone views one of your shared layouts

When you view any of these pages, it counts as 1 page view.

1. any of your control panel pages, including but not limited to: settings, messaging, friends, referrals, favorites, etc.

You also get paid for your referrals up to 10 levels. This means you get paid for the referrals of your referrals 10 rows down. Pretty cool!

The ways to really make money with Yuwie: upload lot of good pics and video often, and communicate with the referrals under you and give them advice on how to get more referrals and make more money.

Different ways to make money on the site.
1. Complete offers. These vary from answering surveys to registering for free newsletters. Make sure you set the search to show “100% free” offers. You don’t want to get stuck in some sort of membership.
2. Go shopping. You get a % back when you shop online at various stores.
3. Refer friends. You get paid 20% of what your direct referrals make and 10% of what their referrals make.
4. Contests. Cash Crate rewards the top 10 ten users earning the most money through offers and daily surveys, as well as the users who refer the most people.

I made a video with some information on how to make and save money. Most of this are things I have already mentioned in previous posts, but here it is in video in case you are interested.

I have had requests from lots of you wanting to know all the ways I save money, win things, and make money. So, here it is.

Ways to save money:

I cut coupons from the Sunday paper. Also, http://afullcup.com is a great site to find deals, printable coupons, sales, etc. Before I go to the grocery store I check this site (coupon menu/coupon database search) to find any printable coupons for items I’m going to buy.

Before we buy anything online we do a google search for online coupon codes for that store.

Also, we go through the sites bigcrumbs and ebates . They have lots of stores listed like Target, Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, GAP …If you go through their site first and then click on the store website for them you can save anywhere from 2-25% they send you a check for money back. I think the way that works is many online stores have referral programs where they offer web site owners a percentage for each person that comes to their site through them and buys something. Big crumbs and Ebates just sign up for a ton of these referral programs and then give you a cut of the money they make.

www.restaurant.com sells gift certificates for usually half the price to certain restaurants in your area. They occasionally email codes to get and additional 50% off restaurant certificates.

How to make money:

I tutor students in the afternoons and evenings. I have both a teaching certificate and a Master’s degree, but you don’t necessarily need both of those. I have found that the greatest need is for Math tutors. If you are confident in math you should have no problem finding some tutoring jobs. The majority of the students I tutor need help with math, but I also help them with other subjects such as Spanish, Science, History, and English. I have gotten most of my students through referrals from the school where I used to teach. I have a few neighborhood kids that come to my house as well. I called or went in to the neighborhood schools and gave the counselors my contact information.

ChaCha is a mobile research service. People text or call in and get the answer text to their cell phone. Anyway, they need people to answer these texts. Usually it’s not too hard to find the answers using a Google search. You’ll get questions anywhere from weather forecasts to sports stats. They pay you 20 cents for each question you answer. I did a study last week (11/5/08) for Focus Forward. It was 2 hours and I got paid $200. It was a study for household cleaning products. Two people met me at HEB and we talked some about my cleaning habits and what products I use. Then we went in the cleaning aisle and picked a few things and went back to my house for me to show them how I would use the items. It was super easy.



I just thought I'd pass that along in case anyone is interested.

You can clean out your house and make some money. Depending on what you want to sell you can go through www.craigslist.org or www.ebay.com . Ebay will reach more people, but they charge you a fee to list and they get commission. Craigslist is free to list and they do not take a commission. Usually Craigslist is best for large items like furniture, while Ebay is better for collectables, antiques, and brand name items.

Also, if there are products you buy often you can go to the product’s website, fill out the comment form and let them know how much you like the products and that you would love to have some coupons.

Freecycle is an online community to help reduce unnecessary waste and keep good stuff out of landfills. Think “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” People post things they are getting rid of or things they are looking for. There is no money involved and no trading. Everything is absolutely free. We have used this mostly to get rid of things, but occasionally you can find some great things people are giving away. Do a search for the Freecycle community in your city. http://www.freecycle.org Grandma Gertrude would be proud. :)
